Over the last few years, I have had the privilege of photographing Stephanie & Ben‘s family annually. Back in February, they asked me to photograph their Millbrae family session when I was in the area.
While working with children can be a hit-or-miss experience, there are a few things that can help streamline the shoot. Always keep in mind that you want to capture a variety of iterations: full family, kids together, candids of each child, each parent with every child, and a few more based on what you aim to deliver. A family session is one of those rare cases where it’s almost better to overshoot since each child can be a variable to account for.
