Studio Bridal Beauty Shoot

January 20, 2016

While they are generally unheard of in California, bridals are a rather common occurrence in the midwest and the south. I wanted to take a unique spin on it and decided to do a studio beauty shoot. Dana from The Dizzy Daisy designed a real floral crown that was simply exquisite. We were able to get a couple different wedding gowns from Ferndales Bridal in Orange. For the first look, we used a white backdrop with a flower fountain. After that, we used a gray background and brought in one of my favorite chairs from Restoration Hardware–the Distressed White Oak Lorraine Chair in Indigo–to add some elegance to the setup.

One of the cool things about bridals is that they take the stress away from getting bridal portraits done on the wedding day. For couples that have a heavy itinerary–perhaps for those having a cultural or fusion weddings–I highly recommend it.
