FAQs
Do you use film?
While I appreciate the heritage of film photography, I’ve found film to be limiting in its ability to capture color. Additionally, film results in softer and seemingly out-of-focus images. Since those do not lend themselves to my aesthetic sensibilities, my photography is exclusively digital.
How would you describe your style of photography?
The key descriptors for my style are modern, elegant, and romantic. This is echoed by my couples as well as colleagues in the wedding industry.
Do you have associate photographers?
I do not. I personally build a relationship with each couple, and what I learn about them influences how I photograph their wedding. Sending an associate would mean delivering generic photos that fail to capture the uniqueness of my couples.
Do you photograph same-sex weddings?
Absolutely! My ideal weddings are based on aesthetics and a relational connection. Love, respect, and dignity are virtues core to my being, and that’s what I bring to every wedding I photograph.
Do you offer videography?
I do not offer standalone videography but I do work with some terrific videographers. Feel free to ask for referrals when you reach out.
Do you photograph destination weddings?
Yes. I’ve photographed weddings all over California, in Arizona, New Mexico, Hawaii, and even Singapore. Please contact me using the form above and let’s talk!
What does your editing process look like?
I narratively select and hand color-correct every photo I deliver. Since each wedding has its own mood, tone, and style, I make sure the edited photos accurately represent your wedding day.
How many weddings do you photograph a year?
Taking a bespoke approach to my craft, I aim for no more than 15 weddings a year. This allows me to give each of my couples the care and attention they deserve.
How many photos do you deliver?
I deliver 40-50 edited photos for every hour I shoot. The range depends on a few factors, including number of photographers, details, and the flow of the day.
Do you have general liability insurance?
I have comprehensive 1m/2m coverage that's required by most venues. Please let me know if your venue requires a COI for your event.
How do you deliver the photos?
I deliver a highlights gallery a few days after the wedding, then upload all the final edited images to the same gallery. It’s shareable, so your friends and family can enjoy those readily.
How do we commission you for our wedding?
Once we’ve connected and you’re ready to book, I’ll send over a digital contract to read over and sign. You can also pay through that portal using your Credit Card or ACH. A 50% non-refundable retainer is required to confirm your booking.
