I’ve found film to be limiting in its ability to capture color. Additionally, film results in softer and seemingly out-of-focus images. Since those do not lend themselves to my aesthetic sensibilities, my photography is exclusively digital.
I love both natural light and flash. Being a digital photographer, I have the ability to pick and choose my lighting to create the best images possible.
I hand color-correct and retouch every photo I deliver. Since each wedding has its own mood, tone, and style, I make sure the edited photos accurately represent those.
Amongst other things, here’s a short list of costs that go into determining what we charge: equipment and technology costs, business setup and fees, liability insurance, advertising, legal costs, accounting costs, sales and business tax, personal income tax, self-employment taxes.
Taking a bespoke approach to my craft, I aim for no more than two weddings a month. I like to give each of my couples the care and attention they deserve, so my ideal number is twenty weddings per year.
I do not. I personally build a relationship with each couple, and what I learn about them influences how I photograph their wedding. Sending an associate would mean delivering generic photos that fail to capture the uniqueness of my couples.
